Sjoerd Gehring is the Chief People Officer at Citadel, responsible for leading the firm’s global People practice including recruiting, learning and talent development, performance management, and compensation and benefits. Sjoerd and his team ensure that Citadel continues to attract exceptional people from around the world and help them build extraordinary careers at the firm.

Prior to joining Citadel, Sjoerd was Vice President of Talent at Apple where he was responsible for talent management and recruiting. Prior to that, he held various senior roles at Johnson & Johnson and Accenture.

Sjoerd’s innovative work in the talent space has been featured in Fast Company, Fortune, Forbes, and The Economist. He received his bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Salford and his master’s degree in marketing from the ESLSCA Business School in Paris.
