Getting Involved: Introducing Our New UK Philanthropic Partners

September 19, 2024

As we expand our civic leadership programming for our offices globally, Citadel and Citadel Securities are proud to announce the launch of two new philanthropic partnerships in London with The Access Project and The Sutton Trust.

These charities work to improve social mobility through access to high-quality education for students from under-resourced backgrounds across the UK.

Learn more about the Access Project and The Sutton Trust below.

The Access Project works to support students from under-resourced backgrounds across the UK to access top universities through a combination of academic tuition, coaching, and in-school mentoring. Access Project students are 50% more likely to attend top universities than statistically similar peers, according to an external evaluation.

Citadel and Citadel Securities are providing support for Access Project students, and through our partnership, employees will have opportunities to volunteer as tutors and mentors.

The Sutton Trust champions social mobility across the UK through educational programming, research, and policy influence. Working alongside students, the Trust provides access to top universities, professional pathways, and apprenticeships to improve outcomes – 93% of Sutton Trust students move from the lowest to the highest socio-economic groups after leaving university.

Through a new, three-year partnership, Citadel and Citadel Securities are supporting Sutton Trust’s vital work.
