Community Impact: Mentorship with Connor

Since 2021, Citadel and Citadel Securities have partnered with Thrive Scholars to expand access to high-quality education by connecting high-achieving students from under-resourced backgrounds with intensive academic and career programming.

Connor, a Senior Associate with Citadel’s Client and Partner Group, was recognized with Thrive Scholars’ Mentor of the Year Award for his impact volunteering as a mentor and supporting Scholars over the last three years.

In his mentorship role, Connor regularly meets with mentees to help them prepare for internships.

‌‌“I have benefited from mentors who invested in my development and believe it’s essential to accelerating career growth and success,” Connor says. “Being a mentor for high-achieving students from under-resourced backgrounds as they navigate college and consider future careers in the finance industry has been very rewarding.”

Connor’s commitment to mentorship and engagement with Thrive Scholars benefits the students and amplifies his impact at Citadel. He believes being a mentor has reinforced what he’s learned at Citadel; we achieve far more together than we ever could on our own.
